An elaborate fantasy that many older people have about the what-ifs in life. It wasn’t what I expected - no Sliding Doors here with its partial tragedy (tragedy that Gwyneth gets it together with someone who can recite Monty Python verbatim and think it is funny. ) This is a modern romance complete with the office affair, the false trails and the inevitable friend who is just like the bloke in Nottingham Hill who greets the press in claggy underpants.
It’s fun, frothy and with reservations on a couple of points I’d recommend it for those who seek a break from reality.
